"SO WHAT IS VINICULTURE?"
OVA defines "Viniculture" as the growing and/or making of wine. Think of this as something like the French concept of "Terroir" except that OVA sees Viniculture as everything that affects the wine from the point of planning a wine/winery to the actual selling of the wine.

Awards won by Amateur grape wines grown outside traditional areas of Ontario.

Try matching some fruit wine with foods (and not just dessert)... See recipes using and matched to fruit wines courtesy of OVA member Sandy Archibald.

Cold-tolerant, disease-resistant vines exist in Minnesota and Quebec that are suitable to Zones 4, 5 and 6 - See the Canadian Plant Hardiness Zone Map. or or the US counterpart Properly matched to climate, these do not need winter burial.
