WHAT IS THE ONTARIO VINICULTURE ASSOCIATION?
The Executive and Directors of the Central Ontario Viniculture Association are pleased to announce a change in direction for the organization. Originally formed to promote viniculture in Central Ontario, the organization, now renamed the Ontario Viniculture Association, will endeavour to promote the use of Ontario grapes, fruit, honey, and other material suitable for making 100% Ontario quality wine throughout the province and to ensure equality of opportunities for all Ontario wineries. Based on collaboration and co-operation among the membership, the association will inform the general public about our concerns relating to the wine industry. The Association will address issues which impact severely on the ability of our wineries to compete in the provincial beverage alcohol market.
