"DATE: 08-18-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Certainly cassis, but nice herbal notes as well, slightly lifted.
Palate: Sweet with good acidity, heavyweight. Palate is much more intense than the nose, huge cassis flavours. Notes of blackberry/blueberry as well. Rich midpalate, some warmth on the very long clean finish. Nice ripe tannins, balanced for ageing.
Conclusions: Big dessert wine is, in my opinion, young yet, and not together (suggested by the excess of palate flavour over nose). Not that there is anything weak or lacking in the nose, but the flavours in the mouth just explode. This is a wine that I feel could safely be put away in the year of birth of a child, and would be in great shape for that child to use in celebrating their 19th birthday. Wonderful wine indeed." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"A wonderful full bodied desert wine made with 100% blackcurrants. Serve as finishing touch to your formal dinner and to compliment any sweet dessert. Serve Chilled."
