LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Fruit Wine

Cranberry and Apple Wine
Tech Information:
08-17-07 $ 14.95 (S: Medium A: 11.2) Winery

"DATE: 08-18-07 Appearance: Pale cranberry.
Nose: Cranberry and apple, but with an herbal component as well.
Palate: Medium with fresh acidity, midweight. Cranberry in spades on the attack, with the rest of the promised flavours showing up midpalate. Light tannins and a great true cranberry bitterness on the long, clean and drier-than-you'd think finish, with silkiness in the aftertaste.
Conclusions: This would be a natural for a family dinner around the big bird, or chilled, by itself, for flavour junkies on a hot day. Would also stand up to flavourful cheeses and pates, or asian cuisine." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The tanginess of cranberry but mellowed with the addition of apple wine. A refreshing off-dry wine that's great on it's own on warm summer evenings but also pairs well with strong cheeses, turkey dinners or fruit salad desserts. Serve Chilled."
