Nose: Deep dark and mysterious nose shows dark fruits, cassis, pencil lead, chocolate, peppers, spicy oak, inviting but not over the top.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, heavyweight. Big oak, big ripe tannins, big alcohol, big fruit all balance harmoniously. Rich midpalate and through the long clean finish.
Conclusions: Big wine shows the effects of expensive cooperage, and will reward patient cellaring for up to 12 years. Lovely effort, should do well in competition and with black tie events over the next few years." lfw
