"DATE: 03-23-07 Appearance: Ruby with hints of brick at the rim.
Nose: Rich peppers, raspberry/blueberry, vanilla/butter/chocolate, sweet oak.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Big modern style of Cab Franc shows rich berry flavours on the attack, with soft richness midpalate. Big oak, rich tannins, some dark chocolate, long clean finish, big wine in many ways.
Conclusions: Very much a modern style Cab, good value at this pricepoint. Try this beside anything from anywhere in this style at this price. Nicely done, will hold for 5-10 years, but is mature-tasting now." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The 2004 Cabernet Franc shows complex, intertwining notes of cherry, violets and cassis on the nose. The texture is plush with rich tannins and a bright acidity that keeps the wine fresh. This wine has a great finish where the soft oakiness shines through.

Food Pairings: Lamb, veal, beef tenderloin, grilled eggplant and portabello mushrooms.

Drink or Hold: Can be enjoyed now, but may be matured by further cellaring, depending on individual preference. Ageability: 3-7 years."
