"DATE: 03-22-08 Appearance: Straw.
Nose: Clean herbal/grassy notes with pear and apple fruit.
Palate: Dry with very good acidity, light to midweight. Palate follows the nose, with some light tannins/astringency on the midpalate, and a clean citrusy dry finish.
Conclusions: This wine will go up to three years, and is most suitable to use at the table over the next two. It will eventually put on weight and gain complexity, but Sauvignon Blanc is an awful tease - when you try to give it grey whiskers the wine just up and dies on you. " lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The juice pressed from very clean, ripe fruit was used with selected yeast for cold-controlled, slow fermentation. The fermentation lasted for 7 days. The resultant wine was aged in stainless steel tanks to highlight the native fruit characteristics of this wine, and to maintain its excellent acidity. Tasting Notes: This food-friendly wine shows rich grapefruit and passion fruit aromas with subtle gooseberry notes. The palate is fresh and crisp with grapefruit and lime flavours, complimented by a zesty citrus finish."
